NEWS: ADRIONWIND project sets sail!
📢 The ADRIONWIND project – Adriatic-Ionian Offshore Wind Network of Excellence – has started on 1 September 2024, fostering collaborative and sustainable partnerships for the development of offshore wind energy network in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The project aims to increase knowledge transfer and enable SMEs to gain a more competitive access to the offshore wind industry, as well as to spread the adoption of technologies among stakeholders in this developing sector.
The kick-off meeting was held in Zagreb on September 25 and 26, 2024, where representatives of all partners from the countries of the Adriatic-Ionian region gathered:
- Lead partner – University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, and Adria Innovation Harbour from Croatia;
- Fenice Foundation NGO and Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation from Italy;
- KiNNO Innovation Intermediaries and FEAC Engineering from Greece
- National Agency of Natural Resources from Albania;
- University of Donja Gorica from Montenegro
- Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
đź’ˇProject’s main goals are: utilizing the region’s coastline and wind resources – enhancing capacity building & improving technology transfer – connecting important actors across the quadruple helix – empowering SME’s to compete in the offshore wind market & develop their skills.
